I designed and built the Z8 in 2014 and operated it for 1 year in the northeast region of Brazil (Ceará) and it was used for aerial photography. The project here in Grabcad is a more refined version with improvements in relation to the V1 version. The V1 version worked perfectly during the time it was used without presenting any structural or electrical failures and proved to be very robust and reliable. The only problem found and easily resolved was in relation to the exposed frame and dust accumulation. The region where the tests were carried out (CE/Brazil) is known for high temperatures and a lot of wind and was the proof of concept for the structural and operational safety. The electronics configuration used at the time was as follows: Flight Computer/Autopilot: DJI A2 Motors: T-Motor 3515-400Kv Propellers: Xoar PJP-N 15/5 ESCs: Turnigy 40A Plush Battery: 2x Turnigy 6s 5.000mAh FPV camera: GoPro Hero 3 Silver Gimbal Controller: SimpleBGC Basecam FPV Tx: 400mW 1.2Ghz Main Camera: Canon T3i + 18-55 lens Dimensions: M2M: 1128mm MTOW: 14Kg Lots of components come here from GrabCAD community (Motors, props, cameras, etc) Thanks a lot!
