The purpose of this project is to blur the lines of two design aesthetics: computer peripherals for professionals and gamers. Zephyr is the gentle blend between these two otherwise contrasting design philosophies. Inspired by ergonomic standing mice and logitech's fractal design aesthetic. Zephyr is the mouse you can take to work and not look out of place or at home at your desktop PC. Using product design methodologies to iterate and discover new perspectives on the existing industry I found a market opportunity of consumers that want elegant, professional design with the performance and feel of a gaming mouse. Zephyr’s unique design shows a bold fractal LED light path that runs down the front. Highly detailed and visually intricate Zephyr’s silhouette is unlike other competitors in the industry. Multi-material printing is the way of the future for prototyping, Zephyrs fluid design will test poly-jet capabilities with it's combined glossy and matte material finishes as well as it’s intricate details would be test for any FDM printer.
