This robot is an omnidirectional type that uses Omni wheels. It can move in any direction, making it highly maneuverable in tight spaces. This type of robot has only three degrees of freedom from its three wheels, which helps reduce the cost by minimizing the number of motor-wheel sets needed. For this project, I utilized 68mm Omni wheels that I 3D-printed, as featured in an earlier post. The 3D file for the 68mm Omni wheel is available on my page – feel free to take a look!
