3D Modeling & Printing Final Project Popescu Andrei-George, Unibuc, FMI For my Final Project, I have decided to do a Squeeze Fan, a friendly and helpful mechanism I found on Thingiverse, the original creator being GeorgeZLS, alongside I got a reference from a YouTube video from Tech Explores NYC that I will link below. The model has been created in Fusion 360. My Fan is meant to be used on hot days, it is activated manually so no motors or electricity is needed. The working mechanism is pretty simple, the user squeezes the handler which creates mechanical power and the power is transmitted to the CrankGear using the Crank, from there two other gears (BigGear1 & BigGear2) will transfer the power to the FanGear which is connected to the Fan, spinning it. I created the model with the intent of being 3d printed. The dimensions of the model (137x150x35(mm)) make the project easy to print and practical. My model doesn't need any kind of screws or glue, the model already has ways to combine one part with another. For printing I think you could use PLA or ABS. I would suggest ABS beacuse of the strenght ABS has over the weaker PLS, this would impact the mechanism over some time . You can find in the main project a Motion Study that shows the project working.
