~25 lb battle bot with an upwards spinning drum weapon. The design utilizes mostly steel for the weapon and internal structure due to its higher strength to weight ratio, and aluminum for the outer armor due to its higher toughness to weight ratio. Aluminum panels are attached to the sides at a small offset in order to absorb impacts from sideways spinning weapons without damaging the main chassis. These are made to be easily replaceable between rounds. The construction of the weapon and chassis will require welding various parts, and the bonding between the aluminum and steel parts is mostly done using high strength VHB tape, though rivets can be used to allow for more easy disassembly/replacement of damaged parts.
