This model (likewise from June 2021) represents a radial impeller-style fan designed for GPU cooling applications. The fan features ten backward-curved blades evenly distributed around a central hub and oriented slightly downward. Each blade is curved in two directions and extends smoothly outward as well as downward from the hub with a twisting, aerodynamic profile optimized for efficient airflow and pressure generation. Each blade also incorporates a small leading-edge root relief near the hub, forming a subtle undercut that enhances the aerodynamic transition between the hub and the blade’s pressure surface while contributing to smoother inlet flow and reduced structural stress concentration. The leading edges of the blades are sharply defined and sweep backward relative to the direction of rotation, while the trailing edges taper elegantly toward the outer diameter while also gradually descending from the inner to the other edge of the blades, giving the fan a dynamic, spiral geometry. The blades exhibit a progressive curvature and thickness variation—thicker near the root for structural rigidity and thinner toward the tips to minimize resistance and noise. From the underside, the fan's central hub's hollow central bore can be seen, allowing for attachment to a shaft or containing an electric motor, and clearly shows the three-dimensional curvature of each blade, which transitions smoothly between the pressure and suction surfaces. The overall design emphasizes aerodynamic efficiency and balanced geometry, suitable for simulation or prototyping of high-performance cooling systems. It's important to also note that the trailing edges and especially the terminating tips of the trailing edges of the blades extend downwards some distance below the bottom of the central hub. So there are clearance considerations to be taken into account when designing the shape of metal sheets of the cooler below the fan.
