This is an optimized centrifugal impeller designed for residential range hoods and duct exhaust systems using standard 160 mm class blower geometry. The model was redesigned and improved based on widely used OEM motor/impeller assemblies found in multiple residential range hoods worldwide. 🔧 Aerodynamic Improvements Over Standard OEM Geometry 1️⃣ Increased Blade Count The number of blades was increased to reduce outlet spacing and minimize airflow recirculation. Benefits: Higher static pressure More uniform airflow distribution Reduced backflow losses Improved suction performance under duct restriction 2️⃣ Reduced Air Escape (Outlet Gap Optimization) Circumferential blade spacing was reduced to limit tangential air leakage at the discharge perimeter. Benefits: Improved pressure build-up Reduced internal slip Better performance in long or vertical ducts Increased effective extraction capability 3️⃣ Optimized Blade Profile Blade leading edge, curvature and exit geometry were refined to improve flow attachment and reduce turbulence. Modifications include: Smoother inlet transition Refined attack angle Optimized camber Improved trailing edge geometry Results: Reduced turbulence Lower aerodynamic noise Improved flow stability Higher efficiency at moderate RPM 📐 Dimensions Blade outer diameter (OD): 160 mm Rim outer diameter: 165 mm Inner diameter (ID): 140 mm Length: 163 mm 🔌 Compatible Range Hood Models (Known Applications) This impeller geometry is compatible with several residential range hood models that use standard 160 mm centrifugal assemblies, including: Orbis Curva Suggar Coral Suggar Cristal Suggar Granada Suggar Esmeralda Compatibility should be verified by checking diameter, length and shaft dimensions before installation. 🌍 OEM Motor Platform This design is based on a widely distributed generic Chinese OEM motor (lCTH03-70A) platform commonly used in residential range hoods globally. Note – Motor Measured Electrical Data (Reference): Measurements performed using an LCR meter at 100 Hz, Series mode (Ls/ESR), motor cold and disconnected from mains. Auxiliary winding (White ↔ Yellow): Ls = 203.6 mH, ESR = 104.1 Ω, θ = 50.64° Main winding (Common = Blue): • LOW (Blue ↔ Black): Ls = 135.74 mH, ESR = 77.91 Ω, θ = 48.49° • MED (Blue ↔ Gray): Ls = 117.26 mH, ESR = 63.15 Ω, θ = 49.18° • HIGH (Blue ↔ Brown): Ls = 110.78 mH, ESR = 53.56 Ω, θ = 52.50° Permanent run capacitor: 12 µF / 300 VAC
