This was the capstone design project in my mechanical engineering design course at Binghamton University. I had to design all elements of a large diameter roller bearing and building core, simulate the motion of the bearing on the core of the structure, and perform a finite element analysis to determine the torsional stresses produced during the operation of the radial bearings. All designs are compatible with 2008 NYC building code.
