eSUN Spool Adapter for Qidi Q2 Combo (Serrated Anti-Slip Version) · 模型 41624
I originally designed this cardboard spool adapter for eSUN filament after starting to use the Qidi Q2 Combo printer. The Combo includes an enclosed filament case that accepts cardboard spools, but placing the filament directly inside the case can cause instability. I initially tried several spool models downloaded from the internet; however, the inner diameter of the cardboard spools was too small, resulting in a loose fit and insufficient fixation. It also appears that eSUN cardboard spools have slight dimensional variations. Therefore, I measured the actual spool I am using and designed a custom-fit adapter specifically for it. After extended use inside the Qidi Q2 Combo filament case, I noticed that the spool did not rotate smoothly enough. The low friction between the adapter and the case sometimes caused unstable rotation, which could affect filament feeding consistency. To address this issue, I updated the design by adding fine serrated teeth around the outer circumference of the adapter. These small ridges increase surface traction against the internal support surface of the Combo box, improving rotational control and reducing slippage. With this modification, spool movement has become significantly more stable, resulting in smoother and more reliable filament feeding. This model was measured, designed, printed, and tested using my own eSUN cardboard spool. The adapter was printed in PLA, which has proven sufficiently strong for normal filament handling. If your eSUN cardboard spool dimensions differ, you may need to scale or slightly modify the model. I hope this improved version will be helpful for others using eSUN cardboard spools with enclosed filament systems like the Qidi Q2 Combo.
