The base contains a print-in-place bearing which allows the outer ring to spin free of the inner ring. capture the tape end as shown in the images. do not let the metal tab stick out. Pin the tape end in place with the provided print. place the lid on, and push the wedge into the lid to fasten it to the base. Spin the lid handle to spool the tape or yank the tape to free more tape from the spool.
