FRC Chassis Configurable Crayola CAD · 模型 140299

NOTE: In order to upload this model to GrabCAD I had to change the file extension. You have to change the file extension to .f3z before importing to Fusion 360(Make sure not to open it in anything else or else it may get corrupted). For people with Windows 11 here's a guide: https://blog.acer.com/en/discussion/1021/how-to-change-a-file-type-in-windows-11 If that doesn't work, let me know and I can put the model on Printables or somewhere(I'll try to remember to do it at some point no matter what, but no guarantees). This is a chassis model designed to help FRC teams during the prototyping phase of the season. It can quickly create a variety of frame designs for Crayola CAD using the new(ish) configurations feature in Fusion 360. For those unfamiliar, Crayola CAD is creating a simplified boxy model of your robot idea to insure that different subsystems will work together and fit inside of your frame perimeter without colliding. If you have any questions I'd be happy to help. I do apologize for the thumbnail as well. I had a bit too much fun in Inkscape. Features: - Adjustable Frame Perimeter and Height - Optional frame cutout for intakes or the likes(The bumpers automatically adjust as well) - Optional frame recess/hole for electrical layout or subsystems that go through the frame - Adjustable wheel position and sizes - Optional SDS Mk4i Placeholders To use: 1. Open the file in Fusion 360 2. Click Display Configuration Table from the Configure Panel of the Toolbar 3. Double click on the configuration you want to use or create a new one 4. Change Parameters and suppressions to your liking 5. If you would like to edit more of the parameters go into the Parameters Menu from the Modify Panel of the Toolbar. A few Notes: - The swerve placeholders are roughly sized for a SDS Mk4i module; however, they do not include the height that the magnetic encoders add to the top. - The wheel Positions/Sizes are just about the same as the Mk4i Modules by default, but that can also be changed - The Bumpers have a total thickness of 2.5". I did this because putting the fabric coverings on can compress the pool noodles slightly and because I figured if you are driving into something to align with it they will compress a bit more as well. This is just a guess though so if you're doing any precise measurements with the bumpers in the model, don't. PS. If any other FRC teams find this model useful, I'd love it if you left a comment so I could see where it's being used.
