Fully Detailed STHIL039 Partial Drive Chain · 模型 79735
An assembly of the core elements in the drive chain of a STHIL039 chainsaw. The assembly includes the engine block and piston, the exhaust drum, the flywheel, the oil pump and the clutch. I made the engine block and wanted to show it in context with all of the components that directly surround it. It was quite fun to try and model another cast component, I tried my best to stay true to the original form and I think it turned out quite well in the end. The model is by all means missing the fillets necessary for any cast component, and the finest details have been left out, but the form is well represented by it's current state ^^ Many of the components inside are either using multibody or parametric modelling as well, so that everything fits perfectly together, with more important (and therefore more accurate) components driving the geometry. I hope you'll like this one! I included a small video (abt. 10 secs) in the "Gallery" folder! it shows the rest of the assembly getting stripped away from the piston. I used SolidWorks' Motion Study component. Check it out if you're interested!
