This design uses a 50:1 harmonic drive with crossed roller bearing on the output. 2:1 belt reduction from the clearpath servo motor to allow for a ~1in through bore. Currently using one of the generic "EDM self centering vise" for work holding. 4th axis is capable of 180 degrees/sec rotation rate and 70 Nm output torque. The non-symmetric shape of the bracket is to minimize travel loss and give max clearance with the spindle.
