A heavy duty desktop moving gantry CNC mill with a 320x350x120mm working volume. A great deal of thought and effort has gone into the design to make it very ridged yet still DIY able using purchased aluminum profiles and flat billet aluminum that can be templet routed to size and shape. it uses 15mm square linear rails and bearings with NEMA 23 steppers and M12 trapezoidal lead screws with anti-backlash nuts for each axis. The electronics uses a TinyBee controller with external stepper drivers for the high torque NEMA 23 steppers. The 80mm spindle is water cooled and has flood coolant capability. The files for the mill are quite large and detailed, and as with all my files, the mill was designed entirely in FreeCAD. Update some files to fix a few STEP file export errors.
