This is a honeycomb spring concept that I designed as a potential alternative to traditional helical springs. The honeycomb structure is composed of hexagonal cells that can deform and recover under load, providing elasticity and damping. The design is inspired by the natural properties of honeycombs, which are lightweight, strong and resilient. This is version 1 of the concept and I am not claiming that it is superior to helical springs as yet. I welcome any feedback or suggestions on how to improve it.
