This is my take at the HoneyComb/Hex LED Shelf Idea, this is still experimental, so results may vary. This version of the Modular HoneyComb RGB Self uses magnets and conductive strips to connect and provide power to each module. All wires and components are embedded to each individual module, connecting modules becomes as easy as lining up the contact pads and letting the magnets snap in place. Almost all DIY printable designs use a continuous LED Strip and wires to cover all modules, this is fine if the final installation does need to be altered. However, some of us would like the option to change or swap layouts and without dealing with messy wires and soldering LED Strips. I am in the middle of cleaning up the design and making the instruction manual. Component List: RGBLED Controller: ESP32 C3 And microcontroller can work Magnet : 3x3mm Neodymium magnet RoundN35 Permanent NdFeB RGBLED: 5V 2.7mm WS2812B LED Strip Narrow 160Leds/M Any Addressable LED Strips could work, as long as it does not exceed 5mm in width. Contact Pad: 4mm x 0.1mm Nickel Plated Strip Could use aluminum cans Power Cable: Any USB charging cable Power Supply: 5V Phone Power Brick Wires: Ideally 1mm diameter tinned wire
