The March K13 does not come equipped with a rear interior light. I planned to install an LED light on the ceiling near the trunk gate. After examining the wiring diagram, I was able to set up the electrical circuit to supply power from the lighting controller located on the driver's side. However, installing the LED on the rear side presented several challenges. The ceiling of the March’s cabin is made of a thin felt board, which is slightly suspended from the steel roof. To address this, I considered using automotive clips for installation. The mounting hole of the LED fixture is sized to fit an M4 screw, which is about 2 mm narrower than the diameter of typical automotive clips. Additionally, the pin needed to take into account the thickness of the fixture’s base. For these reasons, I designed a custom pin using 3D CAD and printed it with a 3D printer. The installation was successful, and the light can now be controlled (ON/OFF) from the driver's side lighting controller. I also replaced the three pilot lamps on the driver's side with LEDs.
