Left Hand Index phalanx Amputation v1 · 模型 195263
My project is the prototype of a finger prosthetic. The parts are designed to fit a Left Index Finger Phalanx Amputation. This prosthetic allows the user to move their finger freely and use it for any daily activities. I started this design after realising that there are no CHEAP 3d prosthetics and no printable designs anywhere on the internet. So I decided to go through with the idea. This design would be able to function with one elastic string and one non-stretch string, it also has hinges(that replicate finger joints) that allow it to flex. These strings will be put through holes (as seen in the pictures). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was not able to print and test this design because I didn't have access to my school's 3d printers. Designs range of motion: - It can flex up to 100º. Type of filament that could be used: - Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Compared to other flexible filaments, it exhibits greater rigidity, allowing it to extrude more easily. I have chosen this filament due to its decent strength and high durability. Size: Height - 8.35cm Width - 2.2cm I hope you like the prototype and I hope it can be of use to you. This project was very fun to design and I encourage anyone with the ability to go for it.
