A modular design intended to be simple to manufacture and cost effective, offering versatility in tooling. As designed, it would weigh in at about 107 pounds, ideal for most blacksmith work, offering easy portability, whether moving it across the shop, or the country. Many seem to believe that bigger is better, but unless one is doing work with materials significantly over one inch square, the virtues of being able to readily move one's anvil without requiring rigging and a crane become quickly apparent.
