Multi-Stage Industrial Gearbox · 模型 53623
This project is a fully modeled multi-stage industrial gearbox, created in SolidWorks using a reverse engineering approach. The goal was to replicate the real-world design, proportions, and functionality of an industrial speed reducer as accurately as possible. Model overview : 40+ individually modeled 3D components, including the split casing (base and cover), helical gears and pinions, shafts, bearings, bearing caps, inspection cover, eye bolts, fasteners, and locating dowel pins Cast housing with ribbed construction, mounting feet, flanged bearing seats, and an inspection port with breather cap Three-shaft, two-stage gear train arranged for speed reduction and torque increase Assembly techniques: Both bottom-up and top-down assembly methods were used Standard mates (coincident, concentric, parallel, distance), advanced mates (width, symmetric, limit), and mechanical mates (gear mates) were used to define realistic relationships between parts Motion was added so the gear train runs correctly and shows how the stages transmit power Skills demonstrated: Reverse engineering, part modeling, assembly design, mate strategy, motion simulation, and mechanical design of a gear transmission.
