A CAD model of a multi-stage planetary gearbox designed to be 3D printed. All the gear ratios are calculated and tested in MATLAB Simulink. The gears are designed with backlash and 3D printer tolerances. The disc with holes carries permanent magnets and is used as a clutch. Arduino is used along with a hall-effect sensor to measure the dc motor speed and actuate the necessary clutches to get desired gear ratios.
