The rigid connection of the antenna parts occurs due to the contact of the conical surfaces. The taper angle is guaranteed to provide a frictional force greater than the possible breaking force. The material of the cone bushings is mild steel. Conical surfaces must be manufactured accurately with interference within the difference in cone angles. When the cones of 4–5 mm intersect each other, surface contact occurs and slight deformation occurs. After some time, diffusion welding may occur. The total weight of added parts is less than 110 grams.
