Regenerative Braking System (Pulley Type) · 模型 73773
The belt-driven regenerative braking system operates by converting the rotational energy of the rear wheel into electrical energy when braking is applied. Under normal driving conditions, the belt remains loose and the tensioning roller does not engage, allowing the wheel to rotate freely with minimal drag. When the brake pedal is pressed, a piston pushes the tensioning roller into the belt, increasing belt tension. This tight, friction-based engagement causes the roller to spin at a speed proportional to the wheel’s rotation. The roller shaft is connected to a small pulley, which then drives an electric motor acting as a generator. As the generator rotates, it produces electrical energy while simultaneously creating a resistive torque. This resistive torque slows down the rear wheel, providing a braking effect. The electricity generated is directed through a controller and stored in a battery or capacitor for later use. When the brake pedal is released, a return spring retracts the roller, the belt slackens, and the system disengages, returning the vehicle to normal free-rolling operation.
