Scissor mechanism with spring for deployment · 模型 62585
The proposed solution was developed by a team, made up of my colleagues Federico Catena, Matías Tron, Mauricio Wohlmuth and myself. We are all students at the National University of Rosario, specifically of the FCEIA, and we have been part of this challenge within the framework of the subject "Synthesis of Mechanisms and Machines". The mechanism is centered on three main elements: a safety system that prevents activation during launch or in the absence of linkage between panels, a four-bar mechanism with springs (scissors) and a connecting pin with its corresponding bushing. Our proposal takes advantage of the compression generated in the springs within the female connectors of the panel design to move two pins that are part of the safety system. These pins move in opposite directions, and, at a specific point in the movement, reach a sufficient distance to release an intermediate safety piece attached to the end of the scissors. The energy accumulated in the springs of the scissors mechanism allows the linking pin to retract, facilitating the release of the stacked panels in a controlled and efficient manner.
