This is a relatively large capacity (8" ID) steady mounted on a Harrison lathe. It is easy to adjust as the three supports are moved just to touch and the clamping is done by closing slightly the locking handle. Made in steel. The three bearings pivot bases, as well the steady rest base, are secured with screws and silver soldered to the mating parts In the photo machining an aluminum flange after welding.
