virus filter adapter for KHROOM, DIVELUX, Decathlon snorkel dive mask · 模型 158660
This is my attempt to turn various snorkel masks (Khroom seaview x, DIVELUX Snorkel Mask, Decathlon Easybreath) into a protection mask. No warranty that it has any protection against virus. You can use own filters from different sources, for example ADO Pro Pac fabric. According to Dominion Engineering, Inc. (see link below) a >99% filtration efficiency of airborne particles of interest can be achieved with 2 layers of this. A o-ring 4 mm Wide, 60 mm inner Diameter ( Mc-Master nr. 9262K364) is needed for sealing. Filters can be stapled to the disc to fix them. Other possible filter materials, that may have an effect: -three-layer white special fleece by "Melitta" (https://world-today-news.com/corona-melitta-produces-breathing-masks-in-the-form-of-coffee-filters-2/). This fleece has a 98% filtration efficiency against bacteria. -HEPA filter vacuum bag -cotton pad as first filter Check the different versions for the each mask. I tested the tightness of the sealing with water. See the video below. In the video I inserted two layers of non woven polypropylene into my snorkel mask adapter. The polypropylene is from a painters suit. Water level declines a little bit, not because it goes through the filter, but it flows into the hollows of the side walls (these hollows are to reduce the printing time). Finger keeps dry on the ground of the adapter. Use 100% infill.
