While repping it out, I noticed that the weights tend to walk a bit when I rack the bench press too hard. This discovery was actually made when one of the 10 lbs [4.5 kg] fell six feet to the floor and scared the crap out of me. To fix this problem, I designed these helical spring clips. They work for a 45 mm [ 1.77''] cylinder. They should not be used to secure weights to a bar you actually plan to lift. In other words, they're rated for static situations only.
