Yamaha YZF-R6 (Marchesini wheel), 15/47 · 520 chain. A 520 conversion for an R6 on Marchesini wheels: a 47T aluminium rear whose ten forked spokes cross into a lattice, on Marchesini's five-bolt pattern (5 × 10 mm on 100, 76 mm centre). Design: an original, not based on any maker's part (ten overlapping spokes in a lattice). Parts - Front: 15T 520 countershaft sprocket, involute spline (m 1 × 20, a sample, not the bike's), nut held. - Rear: 47T 520 rear, 5 × 10 mm on 100 (bolt pattern approximate). Strength (an estimate) - Load: 352 N·m: 65,7 N·m × 2,073 × 2,583 (published R6 specs). - Front: 159 MPa peak · SF 2,61 in 4140 steel · rim moves 0,06 mm · 5,94 mm plate · 69 % solid. - Rear: 127 MPa peak · SF 3,95 in 7075-T6 · rim moves 0,29 mm · 5,94 mm plate · 55 % solid. - Plane-stress FEM of each plate: the chain pulls on the first three engaged teeth (50/30/20 %), both directions; a rear is held at its bolts, a front at its spline. Before you make one - The front's spline (m 1 x 20 involute) is a sample, not the bike's. Change it to your countershaft's spline. - The bolt pattern and centre hole are approximate. Measure your hub or old sprocket first. - These are design samples, not tested parts.
