Hello! Our names are Iván de Lajonquiere, Dante Pretini (https://grabcad.com/dante.pretini-1) and Paulino Viano (https://grabcad.com/paulino.viano-1), we are participating in the challenge together, doing group work. We are mechanical engineering students at the FCEIA UNR (Faculty of Exact Sciences, Engineering and Surveying of the National University of Rosario, https://web.fceia.unr.edu.ar/es/). We belong to the Synthesis of Mechanisms and Machines (SMM) chair led by Professor Marcelo Valderrey (https://grabcad.com/marcelo.valderrey-1). Our idea consists mainly in taking as a reference the robots and voxels of the ARMADAS concept and we make pipe modules which can be fixed to the voxels by means of C-shaped clamps. These pipes have been designed in a general way to be able to transport any type of fluids and connection systems that use cables. The hooks that hold the pipes will be fixed by a robot based on the one used by NASA to join the voxels, to which we modify the arrangement of the servomotors. The hooks are held in place using the NASA-designed "Reversible Androgynous Mechanical Fastener" system. The hooks are positioned by a robot, for which we decided to use the SOLL-E robot as a base and add a third arm to perform these tasks. This robot will also be responsible for locating the pipe modules. Finally, the joints between the modules will be welded with laser welding and will be made by a robot which travels inside the pipes once assembled. It rotates on its own axial axis 120º to make the welding seam.
