The bucket housing dimensions are diameter = 435 mm, thickness = 10 mm, length = 340 mm. The collecting drum (baffle's) dimensions are length = 340 mm, diameter = 425 mm. The material selected is titanium grade 4 due its strength. The bucket dru has four holes for receiving regolith from sharp pointed scoops with efficient and optimized shape. This contributes to a fill ratio greater than 50 percent hence more than 17.6 liters of regolith collected. The overall weight of the bucket drum is 4 kg. The bucket drums have counter-rotating motion during loading and during unloading, the motion is reversed to let out the collected regolith. This design is easy to assemble with two closing caps bolted to either sides of the bucket drum and the titanium baffles being welded to the interior of the bucket drum.
